Have a fixed frequency color monitor that will function with one of the SVGA modes but won't function in the others. Is it feasible to hold the card in that mode? In other words, can I tell software packages that that mode is the only one available? I was thinking of perhaps a bit of code that would intercept calls to the card and massage the data a bit. Any other ideas on how I might accomplish this? It is a 48kilohertz 1024 x 768 color monitor. I have been told the Tseng 4000 chipset card will drive this but I would be open to other opinions or suggestions. Looking at Windows use, perhaps some other use.
