I've waded through a lot of DOS programming documentation but have been unable to come up with a solution to this programming problem. There are two forms of parameter passing to INT 25 (Absolute Disk Read) and its counterpart INT 26 (Absolute Disk Write). The second, which involves passing a pointer to a small disk packet structure, needs to be used when, and I quote the documentation, "bit 1 of the device attribute word in the device driver is set". The documentation I have seen describes how the device attribute word is created when writing a device driver; it does not say how one can determine the contents of this word for an installed device driver, in my case an installable disk driver. Any help will be greatly appreciated. -Unmesh
