There is a problem with the Borland C++ absread(). After spending an entire night trying to get it to work I found that the DOS interrupt utilities for absolute read and write handle the arguments differently depending on the DOS version ie. 3.3 vs 4.01. I ended up writing my own AbsRead() and AbsWrite(). I'm at home now and the code is on my machine at the office. I'll post the source when I get back from Comdex. Frank Root, Boise
