Switching monitors in TP 6.0

From DOS, I can switch monitors using the MODE command. (Mode CO80, Mode Mono,
etc). I was under the impression I could switch monitors in a TP 6.0 program
with TextMode, but this didn't work. Can anyone lead me to the appropriate
parts of the manuals to do this?

Clarification: I want to write programs that can switch monitors, not switch
monitors in the IDE.

Thanks in advance,
Michael
