Redirecting input

I've got a compiled "basic" program of which I am redirecting input.

I.e.: test.exe <inpfile.txt

I need however, some of the input to be Function keys and alt- sequences.

To be specific, F1-F10, and alt-n.

Does anybody know how to get these 'keyboard' sequences to save in a file
so I can redirect it as input to another program?

Thanks,
Perry Minyard
