NLM Programming Help

Hi everybody,

I want to write a program in C language to receive files transferred
from Unix, or DEC VAX systems through TCPIP connection. The sender
of the file invokes a program (in Unix or DEC) to make connection
to a PC (could be a Novell Server), and then transfer the file via
TCPIP. I can write a stand-alone program to do this, but the PC can
only handle a single task at a time. During a large file (10+ MEG)
PC user cannot do anything else but wait for the program to finish.

I thought I can write a C program that could run with (within ?) NLM
which is running continuously on Novell Server (?).

I was unclear about how NLM works in a PC/NOVELL environment.
What do I need for a minimum set up PC/NOVELL for developing and
testing ? What software do I need ? How much do they cost ?

I would appreciate if you can give me some advices.
Thank you,
Jonathan
