I am not positive about how to solve your problem, since I have never
encountered this behavior using BCC 3.1, I think that it might have to
do with your directory settings.  There is a setting in the
directories dialog box which specifies where object files are saved
when compiling.  If this is not your current directory, then perhaps
RUN gets confused when it is told to execute a particular program and
fill find the executable in the "current directory" before the
newly-compiled one in the object-code directory.

If you are not compiling in the directory to which object code is
saved, try changing to that directory and then selecting RUN from the
IDE.
