Possibly.  I posted before and this last one from you doesn't say
if you tried any of the suggestions or what.  I have found in my
limited experience with connect, that it will hang if unable to open
the port requested.  If the lock file is present (in /etc/locks) the
operator receives a "locked" message, but if the cable is disconnected
or another hardware problem is the cause, there is no associated
message.

I posted last time on the information in "Managing the AIX" and
"Communications on the AIX".  Are you the person that was looking
for that info?  I seem to recall that the requestor didn't have *any*
communications working -- do you?
