Booting Maint. Diskette

I've got an IBM PC RT running AIX 2.2.1.

I know that this has been asked here before but it hasn't been
a problem for me until now. Sorry.

Can someone please tell me how to boot from a diskette in
the floppy drive?

I've done this hundreds of times before without any problem but
now for some reason I'm not able to boot from the floppy drive
that contains the Install/Maintenance diskette nor the Diagnostics
Diskette. When I CTRL - ALT - PAUSE the floppy spins for a bit
then stops and eventually the system starts booting from the hard drive.

I had an RT that was very fussy about booting from the floppy drive. Usually i'd
try reseating the floppy (i.e. take it out, put it in) .. usually it'd eventually
work. I eventually decided that the floppy drives would get dirty (there is a
fan nearby to cool the drives, at least on the tower version). The fact that it
boots from the hard drive means that it doesn't see a bootable floppy in the
drive.

Hope this is of some help..
