Sound Blaster Live! Platinum 5.1 and .WAV and .MP3 problems...

I just installed a Sound Blaster Live! Platinum 5.1 under Windows 98. After
battling like mad to get the machine to recognize the card I was pleased as
punch to see everything looking good in the Device Manager. The thing is
though, while the machine sees the card and the drivers all seem to be
up-to-date, I'm unable to play .WAV and .MP3 files. I can, however, play and
listen to audio CDs.

Does anyone here have any experience with a problem like this: being able to
play audio CDs but not .WAV or .MP3 files.

Thanks,

Wil

What are you using to play the mp3s?
