Any ideas why an SB-AWE32 PnP could 'hear' sound coming from the line input
jack, and can manipulate the volume and such things, yet it can't record the
sound to wav file at all?! Even microphone recording doesn't seem to work..

In the multimedia applet of the control panel, the recording level slider is
greyed out, so I cannot change that as well..

I'm using SB's Oct98 drivers, and recently installed DirectX6 but neither have
fixed this problem..

Any ideas??

Cheers,

Will

I'm having the same problem. I can't record using my line-in. If you find out how
to fix it, will you let me know. I'm at mleghorn@worldnet.att.net. Thanks.
