SBPCI128 - DOS - IRQs PROBLEM!!!!

Hey all,
I have an, otherwise brilliant, SBPCI 128 CT4810 card. My
problem is that I can't, for the life of me switch it to IRQ 5 in DOS, it
sticks with IRQ 7 which is causing some old games trouble as they expect IRQ
5.

In Win 98SE the SBPCI128 Legacy Device says IRQ 7 and under Resources there
is NO way to change it. The card itself is on IRQ 9. I e-mailed Creative
Tech Support but no reply (surprise surprise)

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Chris G

Problem partly solved. I tried my game and changed the sound setting to use
IRQ 5 and it mostly WORKED! Looks like what the card says ain't what it
actually is!

Thanks

You could try disabling lpt interupt sharing in: my computer, properties,
device manager, sound-video-game controllers, SB PCI128, general tab. The
check box is the only one indented to the rest. Just uncheck it and the
computer should say that dos setup has changed please reboot. Good luck.
Alex.

You deserve a cigar, no wait, a Ferrari! That worked, thanks a million I owe
you one. Actually,
if you ever have a problem with a domestic appliance (washing machine,
cooker, dishwasher, kettle,
vacuum cleaner etc.) e-mail me quoting this whole e-mail (The bit below too)
and I'll see what I can do about getting you a discounted spare part,
technical manual or Haynes training manual. Ok?

Thanks again....
