Asus A7V + SB Live Value on Win98se

I just recently upgraded my P3-500mhz and Intel SE440BX motherboard to an
Asus A7V
and Ath Thunderbird 900mhz.

Upon sucessful swapping of the motherboards, my soundcard decides not to
work. Well...
it does, but it dosnt, as weird as that sounds.

My system:
Asus A7V Mainboard (running latest 4in1 drivers)
Athlon 900mhz Thunderbird
192MB Pc100 SDRAM
Voodoo5 5500 AGP videocard
Netgear FA310TX Ethernet PCI Card
Soundblaster Live Value Soundcard
3 HDD's, CDRW, CDROM, all IDE
Win98 SE

The problem that I'm facing is that the system detects the soundcard like it
should, and uses the
drivers that I was using before, and *seems* to work (It dosnt give any
error messages or
conflicts anywhere), but there simply is *NO SOUND* coming out of the
speakers (including
CD audio).

Yes, I've tested to make sure my speakers still work, yes I have it in the
right port on
my soundcard, yes the volume sliders are all the way up and unmuted.. I've
even thrown my old
Creative Labs PCI512 in to see if that works, and I experience the same
problems as my SBLIVE.

I've tried it in all PCI slots, I've tried it in slot 3 with IRQ5 reserved
for it (+ legacy device)...
nothing seems to fix my problem.

Help please!
