Can't format Syquest EZFlyer 230 MB cart. as floppy

I'm having a helluva time with the new Syquest EZFlyer 230 MB
cartridge drive (parallel port version).

I have been using the EZ-135 (SCSI version) for a while now. I am
using it on OS/2 systems, and the cartridges are formatted as
floppies so that I can switch them at will without the need to reboot.

The way I've done that is to *not* load the SYQLOCK.FLT driver.
Rather, I use just OS2SCSI.DMD, OS2DASD.DMD, and whatever driver is
supplied for the SCSI adapter I happen to be using. It works like a
charm.

When I use the EZFlyer, I can read and write cartridges formatted as
floppies on the 135. However, I can't for the life of me format a
230 MB cartridge as a floppy. I have tried going into FDISK and
removing all partitions first, but that doesn't help.

To Syquest: We are hoping to recommend this drive for purchase by
hundreds of customers, and are on the verge of abandoning Syquest
altogether.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

- Keith
