Thank you very much to all who replied to my question.

I recieved 23 letters about whether this was a good deal, and it was 22-1 for 
the "look furthers". The general consensus was that the computer was overpriced.
Most suggested $200-$300 as a more resonable cost.

For those of you who asked, the person who was selling the computer said the
monitor was a VGA, but it sure looked like a EGA to me.

As well, there was some confusion about the type of PC it was. It was NOT a
PS/2, it was a PCII. PCII are about 6 years old.

After the flood of responses, I called my friend and told him to look further.
He will, and I'm sure he will find a better deal.

And by the way, I AM A DIE-HARD MAC USER!!! DOWN WITH WINDOWS!
