I hope this is the correct news group on which to post this, If not, please forgive and let me know to which group I should post. I purchased a used Dysan Hard-Card and cannot get it to work, here is the scenerio I've gon through so far. Can anyone tell me what the straps are for and how to fix it??? 1) Setup I've got a 286 with a 40meg drive partitioned into 30 meg pri (C:) and 10 meg ext (D:) 2) Install the hardcard as disk two, s1 straps on 3 and 4 (I have no idea what the straps are for!) 3) Machine booted fine, but would not access the B: drive correctly. 4) Moved straps on S1 to 1 and 2 5) Machine booted really slowly, but all worked and B: was accessible. 6) I noticed that the hardcard (E:) was partitioned as pri, so I re-partitioned it as ext 7) Did a softboot and everything came up perfectly. 8) I then did a power cycle boot and now the machine doesn't even recognize the hardcard! What gives??? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance Bob Vanderwall rlv@cbnea.att.com
