GUI libraries

I am searching for a GUI development library. Specifically, I need
a library package which will permit relatively painless development
of complex graphical user interfaces and displays, will be linked into
my software, and then permits the software to be run as a standalone
entity (e.g. not like X11/Motif, which requires run-time support).

I would appreciate any feedback which I can get regarding packages which
exist, either as commercial products or as shareware.

Please e-mail responses. Thank you.
