In cleaning up Ye Olde computer room at home I find myself the unwilling owner of over 200 5.25" low density (300k) floppies. Some are unused, most have been used at least once. (Brands include: Maxell, Kodak, 3M, Dysan, Fujitsu, and, of source, many generic disks. Since I've switched over to high density 5.25 and 3.5 I do not have a need for these low density disks. Ideally, I'd like to recycle the materials at the least, or donate them to someplace that can make use of them. I'd even sell packs of 10 for $5, if I knew there was a market. Does anyone have any suggestions? Gordon email gordons@netcom or gordons@coopsol -- The opinions expressed are my own, and not the beliefs or opinions of whatever company you think I work for. So there, thhhbbbt! Message to Kodak: Freedom for Dan Bredy.

That should be "360K". Sorry.

I suggest you aquire the outstanding "800" program, that allows you to cram 800k worth of data onto a 360k disk -- fairly reliably. I havn't had probs, anyway.

I hope I dont come across as the price police since im sure you are just out of touch with the market, but you can buy 10 360k disks NEW for between 2 and 3$ from MEI (last check I believe they were .29 each, correct me if im wrong..) For about 2$ more than your asking price you can get 10HD 3.5in disks (also from MEI). Scott PS No, I dont work for MEI, I just use lots and lots of their disks :) -- Go FAST! | Internet: wilken@plains.nodak.edu | AMA #587126 Take Chances! | UUCP: ..!uunet!plains!wilken | DoD #0087 VF700F Interceptor | Bitnet: WILKEN@PLAINS |
