A friend of mine is looking for a PC utility that can do sector-by-sector
copying of floppies. He has a 720K disk with data between sectors and
he can't read it.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks,

Gary Chapman

The Option Card from Central Point Software (makers of CopyII PC) is a
transition copier. That is, it makes an EXACT, bit for bit magnetic copy of a
disk, by duplicating the flux transitions it detects. The copy is done
entirely via hardware. The software package that comes with it is used to send
appropriate commands to the card, and all of the copying is handled by the card.
You can even make copies of Apple disks on a PC using this card.

I know of no other way to do what you are asking, but there may be one. ?!?
