I purchased an IBM 55SX two years ago. It is a good machine, but now I am looking towards experimenting with different OS such as 386BSD. I am now trying to make a decision on wether to keep my machine and upgrade or get rid of it and start from scratch. I have two specific questions that I would appreciate any info or advice on. 1) Is it possible to upgrade an IBM ps2 55SX from a 386SX to a full 32 bit 386 or even a 486? I have seen an advertisement for Aox MicroMASTER upgrades and I am interested in hearing any comments, prices or other possibilities for upgrading. 2) Is there a version of UNIX like OS for MCA architecture? The less cost the better. I have heard about an OS made for MCA machines by a company in Texas named UHC. Thank you for any information. -K.E. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- K. E.
