I've just called a company named BDS and these were their street prices :

   486SX/25 ... $ 942
   486DX/25 ... $1833
   486DX/33 ... $1833

The AOX 486SX/25 MicroMaster looks _VVVEEERRRYYY_ attractive at that
price. And yes, I was kinda surprised about the same pricing of both
the 486DX/25 and the 486DX/33. I pointed it out to the sales rep and
he said it was not a mistake. Gee, which of the 2 would I wanna get?
I didn't bother asking about the 386 MicroMasters, but rest assure,
it's gotta be lower than $942!!! I also mentioned that I (my
company, that is) may wanna buy in quantities of 10 or more. Here are
the prices :

   486SX/25 ... $ 912
   486DX/25 ... $1750
   486DX/33 ... $1750

Not bad at all. Anybody out there wanna pool together to get the 486SX/25?

I am still interested in obtaining other comments, especially about
other upgrade options from companies other than AOX. Someone mentioned that
Kingston was working on a 486/Now upgrade? Is it a chip replacement like
the SX/Now! or an upgrade board like AOX's? Any info would be greatly
appreciated. I think out of all the available upgrade options
(Evergreen Tech, Kingston, and AOX [are there others?]), AOX comes out
number 1 in terms of performance and with disregard to price (which I know
is really hard to do). Am I correct?
