Hi networld

Has anybody debugged a 386 in protected mode without an ICE? I'm trying :-(
to run a copy of DOS as a protected V86 task: my tools are MASM5.0 and
CODEVIEW which won't work in protected mode. I wrote a small driver
to send messages out of the serial port ;-) my machine is AT compatible.
I can't understand why as soon as the cpu does an lgdt [_gdtr] the
whole thing hangs, it is still in real mode. By the way CV doesn't
disassable correctly protected mode instructions even if I enable the 386
option.HELP HELP HELP my boss will shoot my without the last cigarette
if I can't show him a demo :-)) Thanks
