The only problem I've heard of in connection with the DX-50 is overheating, but IBM systems have a fan placed above the processor complex and it should not be a problem. I am using a DX2-50 and it works fine. TO the best of my knowledge IBM _has_ got a brand new DX-50 machine. They've had a processor update card for quite a while now, but now they've introduced a machine with the DX-50 as well as a card that doubles the MCA bus speed. They are very expensive though, and think you should consider going for a DX2-50 with a level 2 cache. It should perform almost as well, especially of you spend the money you saved buying a faster graphics card... Just my 2 ECU's worth... Christian -- M.
