If you can wait 12 days, see what the price will be the day after Thanksgiving; historically the heaviest volume retail sales day of the year. The prices in either your Sunday before or Wednesday paper will give you an idea of what the retailers are expecting... Although, P5 chips and systems have taken a tremendous drop in just the past three months. Right now, since Intel has quit making the 486 chips of any flavor, we can buy a P75 system for less than a comparably equipped 486DX4/100... so we've gotten a pretty good deal so far... But wait a few days - and just a final tip: for all salespeople on commission, come in the day before the last day of the month and get a solid price quote. Then come in the LAST sales day of the month, and watch a few ducats drop - or get a few addins... ----- Lance M Hillier, Sr - AKA: The Guerrilla Computer (Columnist) Hillier PC Consulting: Member: Independent Computer Consultants Assn.; NASE, NaSPA; Listed in two Who's Who in Business
