Please forgive me if this is the wrong newsgroup.

I have an AT&T 6386E/33 computer which I understand is the same as the
Intel 302. On reboot, it beeps 1-2-3 and hangs. The error message for
beeps 1-2-3 is something like "DMA read/write error".

If I power off for ten minutes, it comes up OK (in fact, I'm sending
this message from it).

I've pulled all boards, pressed on all socketed chips and swapped RAM
chips around. Nothing seems to help except a long off-time.

Suggestions are more than welcome.

Pete
