trap 0D, segment violation

This is a question from a friend, so I'm not quite sure I'm phrasing it
correctly. Anyhow, what he is interested is the 0D trap in the IAPX
processors in protected mode. This trap is activated when accessing
protected segments I believe. Now the question is how to set the accesses
on these segments, i.e. how to make a segment Read-only, Read-write,
Fetch-allowed etc. Is this information available in the LDT, and how?

Thanks a lot,

Geir
