I read in InfoWorld (not in the rumors column, but on the front page)
that the P24T is being designed to fit in a 238-pin OverDrive socket.
Initially, at least, the P24T is claimed to run at 33MHz externally and
66MHz internally. This is about all the article says in a nutshell, but
if you want to see the exact text, the InfoWorld issue is mid-October
(16th, 19th, maybe 25th, -- something like that).

My Gateway 4DX2-66V (Micronics VL-Bus motherboard, I believe) has an
OverDrive socket, but I'm not sure how many pins it has. ZEOS (Ken,
forgive me if this is incorrect) seems to imply in their new ads that
upgradability to the P24T requires an extra row of pins on the standard
486 socket. I don't know what this implies about standard OverDrive
sockets.

If I had to guess, though, I'd say that Intel is market-savvy enough to
know that there will be a *large* market for a scaled-down P5 that fits
into the OverDrive socket that exists on so many currently installed 486-
based motherboards. I'm confident that Intel will find some way to
satisfy this market with a P5-like upgrade.

This is confirmed by the InfoWorld article.
