My roomate is planning on purchasing a Haupanagge (SP?) 486 computer. The add said that the motherboard said that it has three 64 bit local bus slots, in which one would be a daughterboard with the processor and everything on it. Since the 486 is only 32 bit, the only reason for a 64 bit bus would be for future upgrades. However, is the P5 supposed to by 64 bit or 32 bit? If only 32 bit, then is there any plans for a 64 bit processor beside the DEC Alpha that will be PC compatible? Thanks! Greg GTB6038@TAMSUN.TAMU.EDU
