undump for STL format

I am looking for a version of the `undump' utility for object files
produced in the Intel Single Task Loadable OMF Representation, as used
in 286 Unix systems. This utility takes a core dump and an a.out,
and produces a new a.out with all .bss data from the core dump (including
new, malloc'ed segments) declared as initialized data (i.e. .data).

It appears that existing versions for BSD and COFF format are not
adequate, because of the special nature of Intel STL and core dump
files.

I would also be grateful to receive any relevant code that might be
munged to perform this function, or any words of warning or wisdom
apropos to writing this horrible thing myself.

   Thanks!
