Intel 310AP/OpenNET bug
#1578

We are having some strange problems using our Intel NRM as a file server to
several PCs running Intel's OpenNET PC Link. The network apparently gets
confused when we ask for directory listings from different directories. The
directory listing of the current directory is corrupted by entries from
previously executed directory listing. This problem is not limited to the
directory command. We discovered this problem when PolyMake would fail to
find the dependencies of a file if it was in a separate directory. Polymake
would fail with the error message "Don't know how to make target". Rerunning
the Polymake would cause the problem to disappear for a couple more compiles.

An easy way to illustrate this is

	1. Setup two dummy directories A and B.

	2. Place four files in each directory. For this example we will
	   assume they are named A0 ... A3 and B0 ... B3.

	3. Run the following .bat file from the parent of the two directories
	   and check the output.

		    dir a
			dir b
			dir a
			dir b

    4. On our system the following output is produced:

		Directory of \A

			A0
			A1
			A2
			A3

		Directory of \B
			B0
			A1
			B2
			A3

		Directory of \A
		 	A0
			B1
			A2
			B3

		Directory of \B
			B0
			A1
			B2
			A3

Has anyone experienced this problem?? If so, do you have a fix for
it?

			Thank You,
			    Ed Stouffer
