OK, I must be doing something trivially wrong. I have a frequent need to download postscript files and print them locally on my MacIIvx/Everex LaserScript setup. The LaserWriter utility works fine, except that it is a foreground application. Is there anything available that will spool postscript files and print them in the background? I grabbed DTPrinter in the hopes that it would do the job, but it appears to be too smart -- it appears to print things using the original application (if there is one) -- I can't make it print a postscript as anything other than the raw ascii text. (As an experiment I tried saving output as a postscript file from Clarisworks -- DTPrinter choked on the resulting file [can't open Desktop Database, Can't find application] -- but the LaserWriter Utility handled it just fine.)
