Smittie is onto the source of the deterioration I believe.  My father is a
die-hard DOS fan, but I forgive him since he is my Father.  He has been
using TurboTax which, I believe, is the DOS product that ChipSoft makes. 
He was showing me this "wonderful" program that he found to do his taxes. 
I thought the interface was very clunky (for a Mac program, great for a DOG
I mean DOS program), and the "interview" feature was only really needed for
the total uninformed.  When I got my copy of MacInTaxes last year is was
like a terrible dream staight out of Aliens.  There was TurboTax peering
out of the guts of my truely wonderful MacInTax.

This year it will be Tax Cut for me.  I have Manage Your Money from MECA,
who has managed to keep the Mac version from just apeing the DOS version,
so I have hope that they will do the same for Tax Cut.  Besides MYM will
export to Tax Cut, hopefully cutting down on manual transfer time.
