Hi! netters,

I am using Microsoft Word for Mac 4.0 at office while using Word for
Windows 2.0 at home. The problem I am having is that I need to make a
crossreference in my document to a footnote. It can be easily done in W4W
2.0 using Insert-Field-crossreffootnote. The crossref mark will be updated
when the referenced object being moved. HOwever, when I laod my doc in W4W
format in to Mac I found W4M 5.0 have no crossref function. The crossref
mark was displayed as a common text and will not be updatd if I move the
referenced object to somewhere else. I'd like to ask,

1. What is the newest version of W4M? is v5.0 the latest one?

2. Is there any way to have W4M created a crossref?

3. Is there is Word version which fuctions in the same way on both Windows
and Mac, and even shared the same format for document files, like what Excel
4.0 does?

Please e-mail if you can help

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
