I'm looking for a software package that will enable me to keep track
of various aspects of the professional activities of the physicians in
our medical school department.  For example, we'd like to store and
retrieve the list of physicians who belong to a specific professional
organization or who received grants from a specific organization or
who have received awards in the past year.  Yes we COULD write our own
database application, but I'm wondering if any package already exists
or if somebody has used a more general product for this purpose.
