Just a document that explains >how the data fork is formatted, and some explanation of whatever >resources are used. Microsoft has two internal (confidential) documents covering the exact binary formats of Word 4 and Word 5 documents for the Macintosh. Of course, they won't give that away to anyone, but if you have a good reason (i.e. something that won't hurt Microsoft ;-)), then maybe you get it from them. (I have them, but obviously I can't give them to you.) My point is: just try Microsoft to convince you need these descriptions, and ask for the 'Microsoft Word 4.0 Binary File Format (Macintosh Version)' and 'Microsoft Word 5.0 Binary File Format (Macintosh Version)'. Chances are that you can use them under a company-wide disclosure. Bob Polis
