Keyserver will allow you to run as many copies as you have licenses for, and it will keep your users from walking off with "free" copies for personal use. Sounds great, right? Unfortunately, *legally* the license agreements from Aldus and other companies do not OK installing keyserver-protected applications on a server. You will find language in many licenses (such as those of Aldus) that states that the software may not be installed on a server, or "networked" (whatever that means!). There is also usually language which states that you may not modify the program, which means that installing keysever protection (or for that matter, even installing other resources, like fonts, in the program) is a violation of the language of the license agreement. Summary: Keyserver works great; Aldus' license language stinks. Jim Bradley, UC Berkeley
