Sorry if this is a rehash of recent discussions, but I am looking for any
suggestions on OCR (Optical character recognition) programs. If there is
a summary somewhere, please just point me to it.

We have an apple scanner and need an OCR program. Most of the input will
be laser printed pages, but some will be faxes. We are considering Omnipage
pro, accutext, typereader, wordscan +, readright and readit. I am aware
of the comparison in macweek of 3/16/92 and the review of typereader on
10/19/92.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Please e-mail to boomer@sylsoft.com
as I can't keep up with this news group. I will post a summary if interest
warrants.
