Sorry if these are FAQs, but I couldn't find the latest FAQ list here.

Which of the latest releases (I can't remember the version numbers) of 
GIFConverter or JPEGView are better for viewing JPEG (.jpg) files on an
8-bit color system with 640 x 480 resolution?

Do these require Quicktime 1.5, or are they compatible with Quicktime 1.0?

What are the ftp names of these releases, and their ftp sites and directories?

Finally, is an LC II with only 4 Mb of RAM capable of viewing Quicktime 
movies, or would that require getting special video boards and lots of money?
