Apparently the compression algorithm is incorporated in the disk driver and is 'invisible'. Any machine that will connect to the drive will load the driver at startup and work. But read the opinions for yourself. At an 'info-mac' ftp site (such as 'ftp 36.44.0.6', 'cd info-mac/report') you will find the following: -r 7768 Dec 7 08:30 ./report/times-two.txt And for owners of TimesTwo there is an update! -r 77541 Dec 22 23:23 ./util/times-two-101-updater.hqx As for any compression scheme you will notice slightly longer opening time for apps etc. while files are decompressed.
