App for making diagrams?

What MAC application program can I use to make diagrams for the foils in a presentation?
The diagrams are like flow charts: boxes of various shapes connected by lines with arrow
heads on one end. I know about programs like Nisus that lets you make graphics, but you
can't rearrange the graph without having to move all of the boxes and arrows individually.
I would like a program that lets me specify the connectivity of the diagram and then
rearrange by moving one or more boxes with the connecting lines folllowing along.

I suppose I could use something like MacProject. Alternatives? Suggestions?
