I have also had some problems with Norton's Disk Doctor.

My configuration is a Mac IIcx 8/80, System 7.1, Auto-Doubler 2.0, Norton
Disk Doctor 2.0, Disk First Aid 7.1. NDD reported B-tree and Link problems.
I'd fix the disk with DFA, then use NDD, and repeat, but the problems
would not go away.

My solution was to finally run DFA, NDD, do a backup with Disk Fit Pro,
and then run Norton's Speed Disk. NSD found and corrected some errors
that neither DFA nor NDD found. NSD corrrected the problems and ran
without a hitch. After NSD was done, DFA and NDD didn't report any
problems!
