HELP: Problem installing OzTeX

OK.  Downloaded all the OzTeX stuff from Michigan (v 1.4).  Read the old
text file there, too.  No info about intallation (equivalent to the
original
readme file).  However, put everything where I knew it should be.  OK.  Run
OzTeX, print DVI file containing user manual.  Fine.  Try to TeX anything
else, can't do it: complains that there is a fatal error in the format
file,
I should change config or rebuild format.  OK, go to rebuild format.  Need
to run INITEX.  INITEX won't run because TeX.pool doesn't exist.  Well,
there
is nothing to deal with this situation in manual, and there is not readme
file for installation.  What do I need to do?

Also, someone at Michigan should add a current readme file that explains
how to install OzTeX 1.4 - the old file there is useless.
