well, look at your alternatives:  Macworld and MacUser magazines.

Those rags have gotten so bad with advertising that I've let my subscriptions
lapse.  I'll try to pick them up in the library to read Steven Levy and Andy
Ihnatko, but otherwise I'll let them go.

Last week I picked up my car magazines.  Car and Driver doesn't see the
absolute need to stuff 5 catalogs full of ads into every issue, and neither
does Road & Track.  And yet, the car is every bit as entrenched into our
society--nay, more so--than the computer.

No, at $99/year, I think MacWEEK deserves a look-see.  True, it's for only 42
issues (compared to 50 or so for its sister PCWeek).  But it's as full of
information, if not fuller than, the two main monthlies, and without the
tremendous amount of crap advertising.  Plus, the advertising that's in there
is much more timely.

Does anyone remember MACazine?  That was my favorite.  I picked up a very old
issue, and came across a tip that I never knew or remembered.  Thanks, Bob.
