You ask if there is a way to delete a file from a Retrospect 
session. The answer is no, you cannot delete files from Retrospect 
archives. 

Retrospect retains a standard format across each media type it 
supports, and given that most tape media do not support deleting 
a file without erasing an entire tape, we have not added this 
functionality to our SyQuest, floppy and combined file backups.
