Some features of Statview (Jandel) will not run under System 7.0.1 unless the System 7 Tuner is removed from the system. According to Jandel tech support this has to do which how the tuneup handles floating point math. Curve fitting routines, for example will not run with tuneup installed, and some transforms will also not run. Its not that the just won't run, attempting to run will cause a system freeze and require a reboot. To get Statview to run: 1) Remove System 7 Tuner from the extensions folder (I remove it entirely by putting it on a floppy - just moving it to the desk top may work also). 2) Restart 3) Remember to put System 7 Tuner back, and restart afterwards (I'm not sure of the consequences of running other software without System 7 Tuner). This is a pain, but this is the best (in fact the only) software I've found for fitting complex, nonlinear and/or discontinuous functions to large data sets.
