Downloading Websites: What software?

I have used a program called Web Devil 2.0 to download web sites and
view them offline. It works well on some sites
(eg <http://www4.zdnet.com/macuser/mu_0797/index.html>) but not on
others (eg <http://www.macworld.com/pages/topindex.main.html>). On the
problem sites it cannot find items (linked pages and graphics) while
downloading. I have tried turning the "Limit to Same Server" option off
but it makes no difference.

Has anyone used Web Devil and overcome this problem? Does anyone know
how to contact the author (the URL I have on the splash screen
<http://www.best.com/~bns/ChaoticSoftware/> does not get me anywhere)? I
have tried emailing him but no reply <Chaotic@kagi.com>.

This software is great in concept. It could download a copy of an online
newspaper/magazine at regular intervals and be ready to read when you
want it. It works much quicker than point, click and save because it
does not have to display any images before grabbing the next link (and
saves that tired index finger). And for $10 it's great value.

I'd also like to know if there is a similar product that is scriptable
in Applescript.
