I tried  that, and yes I got the 4.0-> 3/2 file translator but when the
VISE updater kicked in looking for the claris works application, it
refused to recognise my clarisworks program as acceptable, even when I
selected the file manually in the updater's open dialog box.

Am I missing something here?
