You'll find it at ftp.shsu.edu in \tex-archive\systems\mac\oztex-german. There are quite many now: OzTeX, CMacTeX(sp?), Textures, DirectTeX. I recommend DirectTeX very highly: 1. it's very good; 2. it's written by a German guy (I think), so it should have no problem handling German text. Check out the FAQ for comp.text.tex for more info. As far as I know DirectTeX is available only from an anon ftp site in Germany. Forgot the exact name though. -- "Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose." - unknown
