The latest version of the HP Deskwriter Drivers provides background spooling. They provide their own version of the Printmonitor. I believe that the version # is 3.1, which you can obtain via FTP (I think it's on Sumex) or from Compuserve, etc. ---Matt Spolin Washington, DC
