PD regular expressions parser?

Does there exist a public domain regular expressions parser
for the Macintosh? I'm looking for something which will
allow me to search for all occurances of M*S*I and turn up
MISSISSIPPI, MISSOURI, and so on. It should be able to
replace regular expressions as well. That is, it should
be able to replace M*S*I with "STATE1" or some such thing.

Thanks so much,
Stern
